There are moments when my work has a purpose or a path, but sometimes it's simply a means to embrace (or release) my emotions that hide even from me. This is one of those pieces.
Measuring 6x9 feet this is a piece that required my whole body to create and express.
From my initial angst, I found appreciation for the bonds of bravery shared by those who just let go. Clinging tightly doesn't offer security. True security lies in having faith that whatever or whoever you need will always be there for you, whether it's companionship or solitude, attachment or independence.
I Interwove arcs of paint and texture to create a visual dance celebrating the appreciation for my friends who may ebb and flow physically from me but always stay connected.
