My inspiration for this work was seeing a large mass manufactured piece of printed art grace the entryway of a very large rental property on the San Diego cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Without any knowledge of, or request by the property owners, I decided to create a unique and hand painted work that I felt would bring life to this home.
The house may not actually be anybody’s full time “home” but to me that’s not an excuse to decorate it like a hotel.
My goal was to work with the color schemes of the other “art” and make it blue and silvery but to no ones surprise, the color inside me came bursting through.
The work transformed from the darkness of the ocean floor to an interlocking puzzle of a coral reef, which somehow morphed into a dazzling array of northern lights that then danced into a wildflower meadow.
All of these are adventures I would love to go on and as I told myself the story of this house and its art and reflected on my own money story, and its limitations, I asked the universe for more adventures with people I love.
I promise to use the sale of this work to fund whatever adventure that may be and to create more work from those sure to be entertaining experiences🩷
